Seppala Kennels of J. D. McFaul

The Seppala Kennels operated by J. D. McFaul and owned by the partnership of McFaul and C. S. MacLean was located in Maniwaki, Quebec. It began in 1950 when Harry Wheeler sold his remaining Seppala lineage stock and the right to use the kennel name to the MacLean/McFaul partnership. It lasted until McFaul's retirement in 1963.

At the time of the Wheeler purchase, the MacLean/McFaul kennels operated under the kennel name Gatineau, breeding Siberian Husky stock that was not considered pure Seppala by the standards of Wheeler and others. The Gatineau stock was gradually sold off and only pure-strain Wheeler and Shearer (Foxstand) stock was used for the Seppala Kennels breeding programme.

The foundation stock for this third incarnation of Seppala Kennels consisted of the following animals:

Foxstand's Sunday - M (Polaris of Sapawe x Foxstand's Sukey)

Volk of Seppala - M (Burka of Seppala 2nd x Polly of Seppala)

Bilkoff of Seppala - M (Tserko of Seppala 2nd x Pearl of Seppala 2nd)

Vodka of Seppala 2nd - M (Vodka of Seppala x Katrinka of Seppala)

Zarina of Seppala 3rd - F (Kingeak of Seppala 2nd x Polly of Seppala)

Bilka of Seppala 2nd - F (Vodka of Seppala 2nd x Vixen of Seppala 2nd)

Foxstand's Georgia - F (Foxstand's Suggen x Foxstand's Colleen)
