International Seppala Siberian Sleddog Club (ISSSC)

The International Seppala Siberian Sleddog Club was founded in summer of 2002 by Douglas W. Willett, Bob Davis and his wife Tamara Davis. It was and is a licensed affiliate activity club of the Continental Kennel Club or ConKC, a for-profit commercial corporation based in Walker, Louisiana. Neither the ISSSC nor ConKC has authority to register Seppala Siberian Sleddogs or license from the Working Canine Association of Canada to use the breed name to describe dogs in the ConKC registry. Both the ConKC registry and the ISSSC itself were conceived and founded without the knowledge of or any consultation with the Seppala Siberian Sleddog Project or the chartered Canadian animal pedigree association that is the sole legitimate authorised SSSD registry, the WCAC.
