Artificial Selection
Artificial selection is the selective breeding of animals and/or plants by humans, in an effort to reinforce certain genetic traits which they believe will prove beneficial to the breed. Artificial selection differs greatly from natural selection, as the traits chosen will not always improve on the progeny’s ability to survive or reproduce further.
